I am a proud mum of three amazing children, a loving partner, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. But for many years, I struggled to truly know who I was.
I spent 18 years working in banking, exploring various departments before finding my niche in Training & Development and Quality Assurance. Alongside this, I ran several small businesses, always chasing recognition—seeking proof that I was hardworking, capable, and worthy of love.
In 2017, everything changed. I attended a Counselling Skills course following the suicide of a very dear friend and made the life-altering decision to leave an unhealthy marriage. Through this journey, I discovered how much I had been searching for approval, never believing I was enough on my own.
This realisation led me to explore the deeper patterns in my life, and I recognised that I had spent years in toxic relationships. Determined to break the cycle, I completed the Freedom Programme and the Recovery Toolkit, both focused on healing from domestic abuse. I then went on to work as a counsellor at a local Domestic Violence Centre, Women's Refuge and Rape Crisis Centre, supporting others on their own paths to recovery.
Now, my passion lies in helping people reclaim their self-worth, break free from unhealthy dynamics, and step into the life they deserve.
I know now that I am enough—I no longer chase approval or recognition from others. Through my journey, I’ve learned to recognise the red flags of unhealthy relationships, embrace self-love, and build a life rooted in self-worth. Now, I am deeply passionate about helping others do the same.
As a survivor, I am committed to supporting those experiencing similar challenges. I understand how many of our behaviours stem from negative thought patterns or a wounded inner child, and I am passionate about guiding others toward healing and self-empowerment.
My professional journey has equipped me with the skills to help others create lasting change. In 2019, I completed a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Skills, followed by a Practitioner’s Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in December 2020. I now have my own very successful private practice, am a Counselling Tutor in a local college, a Clinical Supervisor for other counsellors and run a team of approximately 40 student and qualified counsellors.
I believe that with the right support, everyone can break free from limiting beliefs, heal from past wounds, and truly know they are enough.
I am trained to teach and practice in a variety of different modalities:
I offer counselling services for various different issues including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, abuse, panic attacks, OCD, couples counselling etc., but I also specialise in counselling and teaching unhealthy relationships, narcissism and domestic abuse. This is an area I am extremely passionate about as I have 'lived in' experience of narcissism and domestic abuse.
Across approximately 40 different counsellors in our team, I am extremely proud to say we cover a whole host of specialist areas such as domestic abuse/unhealthy relationships, addiction, grief & loss, neuro-diversity, working with children and young people, trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and more. Plus we also work with the more general day to day mental health issues of anxiety, depression, work related stress etc.
All of our counsellors are DBS checked, fully insured and supervised and can offer our services face to face or online. They have completed extensive training in their specialist fields and some also have 'lived in' experiences of many of the issues our clients bring.
